Early on, point guard LA Tenorio is showing just how much of an impact he can make as he carried his new team, the Brgy. Ginebra Kings, to back-to-back wins in newly-opened PBA Philippines Cup, thus, earning himself the Player of the Week honors for the period of Sept. 30 to Oct. 7.
Tenorio, in his first outing in a Ginebra uniform against the Global Port, managed just two points but had 10 assists and nine rebounds in helping them ditch the Batang Pier, 110-90.
Against the Governor’s Cup champions Rain or Shine, Tenorio scored five of his 20 points in crunchtime to push the Kings to a close 98-94 victory and give them a 2-0 (win-loss) card. Correspondent Jonas Panerio
