Gullas finds opponent in Talisay
THE Liberal Party’s candidate for mayor in Talisay City said he wants “change” in the city.
Johny V. Delos Reyes, who described himself as an inventor and businessman filed his Certificate of Candidacy (COC) under the LP last Friday with about 300 supporters, mostly market vendors and tricycle drivers.
This is not the first time Delos Reyes is running for public office in the city.
This time however, according to delos Reyes, he would have the best fighting chance against 1st district Rep. Eduardo Gullas.
He was quick to say that he doesn’t consider Gullas as his opponent.
“Dili si Gullas ang akong kontra kundi kontra ni Gullas ang mga Talisaynons (Gullas is not our opponent, but Gullas is the opponent of the Talisaynons.),” delos Reyes said.

Former Vice Mayor Aberdovey Belleza also filed his COC as Vice Mayor as an independent.
Villarante said they have been urging Belleza to join their group but they failed.
“Maybe he thinks that he would excel on the election race with three options for vice mayor. No more backing up,” Villarante said.
He said the development would affect them but still they will just give them fair election fight.
Asked whether this is the strategy used of the administration,” Villarante stayed mum.
