DEFENDING champion Stream Ingenyouity moved a game away from retaining its crown after it nipped the Teletech Titans, 70-60, in Game One of best-of-three finals of the 2012 Sun Cellular E-League for Basketball at the City Sports Club-Cebu Gym last Saturday.
Reigning MVP Sylvester Millevo, also last season’s Rookie of the Year, was in his usual deadly self, leading Stream with 22 points, five rebounds, two assists and one steal.
Louie Ceasar Arroyo had a solid contribution for Stream with 20 markers, five boards and two blocked shots.
Michael Recla was the third Stream player to finish in twin digits, firing 10 points that went along with his five rebounds, four assists and a steal.
Sherwin Emmanuelle Resilla tallied a game-high 24 points on top of 12 rebounds and a steal, while Lourenz Limpangog added 16 points for the Titans.
