Vendor robbed, killed in Liloan

A VENDOR of a rolling bakeshop was robbed and killed in barangay Jubay, Liloan town, northern Cebu.

Rodrigo Sasing, 50, was found slumped on the ground with stab wounds in the neck and chest. He also had injuries above the left eye that may have been struck by a hard object.

Shortly after the incident, police arrested Virgilio Zayre, 23, a native of Dipolog City who lives in Jubay, and a 17-year-old boy, who were identified by witnesses as the ones who attack the vendor.

Zayre and the boy denied the accusations against them.

Police said that according to witnesses, Sasing was driving the rolling bakeshop when he was waylaid around 7 a.m. yesterday.
