Ang Tibay Mo, Allyn & Sons log wins in Power 40 basketball

ANG Tibay Mo dumped Alfa Electrical, 130-108 Tuesday night for its first win in two games while Allyn & Sons drubbed Jenjic Commando (1-1), 119-101, in the Power Forty-2012 Christmas basketball tournament at the Emilio Jaca Memorial gym.

Jenjic Commando led by single digits in the first two periods but Allyn & Sons streaked hot in the 3rd quarter with a blistering, 40-18 rally led by power-forward Nestor Javierto and pointguard July Capala that turned the tide in its favor, 85-74, heading to the final quarter.

Allyn & Sons then outscored Jenjic in the fourth, 34-27 to seal the 18-point triumph.

In the main game, Ang Tibay Mo led from start to finish for the lopsided, 22-point win.

FEATURED STORIES

Jun Sumargo and Edwin Dejacto led the scoring chart for Ang Tibay Mo with a game-high 37 and 31 points, respectivey, while Cecil Cabaluna and Louie Dejarme combined for 38 markers. Mac-Mac Navares and Allan Dela Rama paced the losing Alfa Electrical with 45 and 20 points, respectively.
