THE Red Cross Youth (RCY) Council Cebu Chapter, together with the Summer Institute Batch 15 graduates, invites all the Cebuanos to support their first ever RCY Jam: #Move 2012 in celebration of the RCY Month tomorrow, Oct. 6, at the Southwestern University Ballpark at 4 p.m. onwards.

RCY Jam: #Move 2012 is a fund raising event of the RCY Cebu Chapter featuring 14 local Cebuano bands, RCY fashion show and other Cebuano talents.

The performing bands are Powerspoonz, Wonggoys, Shuffled, Undercover Grasshoppers, FOC Fashion, Shepherd’s Plaid, Drop Out Club, False Graveyard, Jetlag, Ultimo, Nikie J., Dance with Me Kris, The Lower Class and March the Sky.

“The proceeds of the event will fund the RCY and Philippine Red Cross Cebu Chapter services,” said Jhoana Togonon, RCY- Chapter Youth Council president.

Nutrition caravan in Negor today

MEMBERS of a media network in Central Visayas will hold an information caravan in Negros Oriental today and tomorrow.

National Nutrition Council in Central Visayas nutrition program coordinator Parolita Mission said the event aims to provide regional media with a greater understanding of the nutrition and related programs and projects.

Officers and members of the Media Information Network for Nutrition and Development (MIND-7) in the region will visit Dumaguete City and the towns of Zamboanguita, Valencia and Dauin during the caravan.

Seminar WORKSHOP on nurturing gifted individuals

THE Philippine Association for the Gifted (PAG) with the Philippine Center for the Gifted Education will conduct a seminar workshop sponsored by Wyeth Philippines on “Search and Nurture of Gifted Individuals” on Oct. 7 at Richmond Hotel from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Dr. Letecia Peñano-Ho, president of PAG, will be one of the main facilitators of the seminar workshop. A minimal requirement fee of P300 will be collected to cover the cost of materials, handouts, certificate of attendance and meals.
