Eddiegul runs for Talisay mayor; Alayon support PJ, Agnes

THE Alayon Party is supporting Rep. Pablo John Garcia for governor and the vice gubernatorial run of Vice Gov. Agnes Magpale.

Rep. Gullas, a three term congressman made this announcement after filing his Certificate of Candidacy (COC) for mayor of Talisay City yesterday morning.

Rep. Garcia of Cebu’s 3rd district will by the standard bearer of the One Cebu party, while Magpale is the runningmate of the Liberal Party – Barug alang sa kauswagan aug demokrasya (LP-Bakud) standard bearer Hilario “Junjun” Davide.

In the national level however, the Gullas family-led party had declared support to the LP senatorial slate as the national party they are allied with, the Nacionalista Party has allied with the administration party.

Rep. Garcia thanked Rep. Gullas for his party’s support.

The support coming from the longest serving governor in the history of Cebu is a “resounding vote of confidence and a major shot in the arm for our campaign,” Rep. Garcia said.

The One Cebu party according to Garcia respects Alayon’s support to Magpale, a cousin of his runningmate Boboy Durano.

Accompanied by his grandson Samsam Gullas, the veteran Cebu politician then proceeded to Carcar City to show support to Alayon candidates lead by Mayor Nicepuro Apura, Vice Mayor Patrick Barcenas and the city council slate in filing their COCs.

Samsam Gullas will be running for the first district congressional seat.

Next stop was Naga City to support Mayor Valdemar Chiong, Vice Mayor Delfin Señor and the city council slate in filing their COC./with Correspondent Carmel Loise Matus
