More afternoon classes suspended
MANILA, Philippines — Classes were suspended in several areas Wednesday due to inclement weather, respective local governments and school offices announced.
Makati City: preschool to high school, public and private
Manila: afternoon classes from preschool to college, public and private
In Pasay: preschool to high school, private and public
Muntinlupa: afternoon classes, all levels, private and public

Marikina City: afternoon classes, all levels, private and public
Parañaque: all levels
San Juan City: preschool to highschool, public and private
Caloocan City: preschool to high school, public and private
Quezon City: preschool to high school, public and private
Mandaluyong City: preschool to high school, public and private
Malabon: afternoon classes pre-school to high school in public schools, private schools will have their own discretion

Polytechnic University of the Philippines: Afternoon and evening classes (all levels) in PUP-Sta. Mesa, Manila
San Beda College: 12 noon onwards
UE Manila and Caloocan: preschool to high school
College of Saint Benilde: classes and office operations
Ateneo: grade school and high school
Paref Woodrose, OB Montessori Center, Greenhills
The Department of Education said the decision to suspend classes would be left to the discretion of LGUs.
“In the absence of storm signals, class suspensions are c/o your respective local government units,” it said in its official Twitter account.
The rains were caused by southwest monsoon enhanced by tropical storm Marce.
