Strong blasts rock Libyan capital—report
TRIPOLI – At least seven strong explosions rocked the Libyan capital overnight, including the area housing strongman Moammar Gadhafi’s residence, an Agence France-Presse journalist said Saturday.
Three blasts were heard around 2:20 a.m. (0020 GMT), followed by four others in rapid succession.
Libyan television shortly after quoted a military source as saying that NATO planes “are currently bombing civilian sites in the capital Tripoli.”
