Storm ‘Marce’ to enter PH area

A WEATHER disturbance spotted over the West Philippine Sea intensified into a tropical storm yesterday and may enter the country within 24 hours.

As of 1:30 p.m.yesterday, Tropical Depression Marce (international name: Gaemi) was estimated 550 km west of northern Luzon, packing winds of 65 kph to 80 kph.

Acting Pagasa Mactan chief Alfredo Quiblat said Metro Cebu will be partly cloudy with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms. Coastal waters are light to moderate.
