THE Enerzone batters remained unbeaten after last weekend’s action in the Cebu Slow-Pitch Softball tournament at the Aboitiz Sports Field in Mandaue City.
Enerzone chalked up two wins in as many games to lead the standings and book a ticket to the finals slated this weekend.
Enerzone first routed the Flamingos, 18-14, before defeating Fastball, 13-6.
Fastball recovered from its loss to Enerzone by escaping the summer league champion Bandidos, 21-20, in the premier division.
Fastball was supposed to play against the winner between the Bandidos and the Flamingos but it was postponed because of heavy rains. The match was moved to this Saturday.
Meanwhile, the Visayan Electric Company (VECO) also posted a 2-0 mark in the standings after winning over the Pirates, 12-2, in group A. They also beat the Swingers, 14-7. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
