Indonesia eyeing to host next Doce Pares world tilt

A team from Indonesia has expressed their utmost willingness to play host for the next Doce Pares World Championships and Congress.

Team Therapy Through Internal Energy Kalimasada Indonesia, led by grandmaster Eddy Surohadi and trainer Ibu Ida Surohadi, forwarded their bid during the 4th Doce Pares World Congress yesterday at the SM City Cebu.

Tetada Kalimasada was recently accepted as member of the Doce Pares family. GM Surohadi and Ida said that they can get the full backing from the Indonesian government in bringing an international martial arts event in Jakarta, Indonesia.

“We have an International Kalimasada event and we can bring the Doce Pares at the same time for a back to back international events,” said Ida. “We are under Indonesian president’s foundation and we can have full financial backing,” added GM Surohadi.

Tetada Kalimasada boasts of a facility which encompasses five hectares that has 250 rooms.

“We look forward to hosting the 5th Doce Pares World Championship and Congress. We need input though from everyone to make sure the event will become successful,” added Ida.

Meanwhile, 22 countries will vie for supremacy in the 4th Doce Pares World International Tournament sparring competition today at the SM City Trade Hall from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m.

On July 24 to 26, the participants will have a fellowship at the southern town of Badian, where the Doce Pares Beachfront Training Camp is.  Correspondent Jonas Panerio
