Parents urged to claim children

THE Children’s Haven of the Albert Schweitzer Familienwerk Foundation Philippines Inc. is seeking the assistance of the public in locating the whereabouts of the parents and relatives of the abandoned children.

Siblings Joy, Juvylyn, Jay and Niña, all surnamed Arañas, were left by their mother Almira Arañas to Felicitas Arañas of barangay Calan, Cordova, Cebu on Sept. 17, 2006.

A baby boy was left by an unidentified person at the main door of Norma Ortiz’s residence in sitio Naga, barangay Babag, Lapu-Lapu City on Jan. 25, 2005. The boy’s given name is Angelo Ortiz.

The Children’s Haven orphanage in barangay Pilipog, Cordova, Cebu is requesting the parents and relatives of the minors to visit the center or contact social worker Ligaya Maquiling or executive director Martiniana Mercado at 496-7608.

Failure of the parties to appear or claim the children within the one month will subject them for legal abandonment in court.
