Aquino to endorse senatorial bets

MANILA, Philippines – President Benigno Aquino III is set to announce this Monday the full senatorial line-up of the Liberal Party (LP)-led coalition.

Aquino, chairman of the LP, will make the announcement in a press conference on the first day of the filing of certificates of candidacy for the 2013 mid-term elections.

Senator Aquilino Pimentel III, former Senator Jamby Madrigal, Aurora Representative Juan Edgardo Angara, Bam Aquino, former Las Pinas Representative Cynthia Villar, Senators Francis Escudero,  Loren Legarda, Alan Cayetano, and Antonio Trillanes IV were among those expected to attend the conference.
