THE Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Central Visayas (CIDG-7) will have a new chief.
Senior Supt. Eddie Binigay will replace Senior Supt. Jose Pante, who will be named as the new chief of CIDG-National Capital Region (NCR).
The reshuffle was announced yesterday by CIDG director Samuel Pagdilao Jr., who graced various activities in Cebu.
Pante said he has yet to receive an order transferring him to NCR.
Binigay is a native of Sagay City in Negros Occidental.
Pagdilao was in Cebu yesterday to administer the oath of more than 100 members of Community Investigative Support (CIS) at barangay Looc gymnasium in Mandaue City.

Pagdilao debunked speculations that the creation of the CIS, which has 30,000 members nationwide, is meant to form a party-list group.
Later in the day, Pante led a gun safety seminar for police reporters in a firing range in Mandaue City./CORRESPONDENT CHITO O. ARAGON
