A 49-YEAR-OLD woman was shot dead by two unidentified men while she was playing “tong-its” in barangay Maribago, Lapu-Lapu City.
Leonila Lambojon, married, a resident of sitio Sabang, barangay Sta. Rosa in Olango island, died on the spot with two gunshot wounds in the head.
Police said although the victim was with a group of friends playing tong-its, no one was able to identify the assailants whose faces were covered with black shirts.
After shooting the woman, the assailants took her black belt bag and fled toward a dark portion in the area, said police.
Police said while the woman was playing, two men arrived and without a word shot her from behind at past 9 p.m. last Friday.
