2 MEN HURT IN TALISAY SHOOTINGS

TWO men were wounded in two separate shooting incidents at dawn yesterday in Talisay City, southern Cebu.

Van Russel Catorya, 20, was walking with friends when he was shot by an unidentified assailant in barangay Poblacion at 1:20 a.m.

Catorya and his friends came from a drinking session.

The victim, who sustained a gunshot wound in the body, was brought by his friends to the Talisay District Hospital.

In barangay Tabunok, Jevy Labura, 26, was shot in the chest by a certain Cabriana while he drove a trisikad past 5 a.m.

Police said a personal grudge was the motive in the attack.

Labura was brought to a hospital in Cebu City.

EX-SEAMAN FOUND DEAD

THE body of a former seaman was found floating in the waters off barangay Uno, Tuburan town, northern Cebu.

Police identified the fatality as Ademar Gutierrez, 57, a resident of barangay Basak, Mandaue City.

PO3 Yuri Colonia said the body was found at 12:45 p.m. by some children playing in the shore.
