Police said Perfecto Mengorio of 135 Upper Gulod, Barangay Sauyo in Novaliches said in the suicide note he was taking his life because he had caught his girlfriend with another man.
An official report prepared by the Quezon City Police District’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit said Mengorio’s body was discovered hanging by a nylon cord from the ceiling of his bedroom at around 3 p.m. Thursday by his mother, Virginia.
Police investigators said that in a portion of the note addressed to his girlfriend, Mengorio said he would haunt her for the rest of her lifetime.
He then apologized to his mother, siblings, nephews and nieces for what he was about to do, the police report said.
