MANILA, Philippines—A suspected Abu Sayyaf member with P1 million bounty on his head was arrested in Lamitan City in Basilan on Wednesday, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group’s (CIDG) official said Friday.

In a belated report, CIDG director, Police Director Samuel Pagdilao Jr., identified the suspect as Yatim Batah a.k.a “Yatin Hakimin,” who was arrested along Rizal Avenue, in Barangay (village) Maganda, Lamitan City.

Pagdilao said Batah has pending arrest warrants for kidnapping and serious illegal detention for his involvement in the kidnapping incident at Tiaran Golden Harvest in 2001.
