Firearms from Danao City seized in Dumaguete wharf

ASSORTED firearms believed to have come from Danao City in northern Cebu were seized at the wharf of Dumaguete City.

The firearms were stuffed in seven bags found in a Ceres bus.

No one claimed ownership of the guns, said police.

Senior Supt. Edward Caranza, chief of the Negros Provincial Police Office, said in a phone interview the confiscation was made after they received a text from a civilian asset about the contraband.

Caranza said the guns could be used for killings since they have silencers.
