PIA region 7 needs information officers

THE Philippine Information Agency in Central Visayas (PIA-7) announced the opening of two vacant positions for information officer 3 and information officer 1.

With salary grade 18, the applicants for information officer 3 should be a graduate of Mass Communication or related course; have two years experience in press and public relations and media coverage of national and local events; have eight hours of relevant training; proficient writer of news releases for print, radio and television; proficient in microsoft word, excel, powerpoint presentation application and social media; and willing to be assigned at the regional office.

For information officer 1, which has a salary grade 11, applicants must have a degree in Mass Communication or related course; experience and training not required; can write press and broadcast releases; can do liaison work and media coverage, has basic knowledge in photo journalism and proficient in basic computer application.

A civil service professional eligibility is required for both posts.
