The security personnel as well as the security agency of Colegio San Agustin in Dasmariñas Village, Makati City, should explain how a gun-wielding father was able to bring a pistol inside the exclusive school, an official of the Philippine National Police (PNP) said Monday.
Chief Superintendent Generoso Cerbo Jr., PNP spokesperson, said Allan Bantiles could face several criminal charges, including illegal possession of firearms, for allegedly pointing a gun at a student who figured in a fight with his son on Aug. 30.
“Whichever way you look at it, what the father did was wrong,” Cerbo told reporters.
According to him, they are still checking reports that Bantiles owns a 9 mm and cal. .45 pistol and if the gun he brought to the school is registered under his name.
Bantiles may also face charges of oral defamation, grave threat and slander by deed, Cerbo said.
He added that if the gun Bantiles allegedly pointed at the student was indeed registered, he could lose his firearm license as well.
