THE NATIONAL University Bulldogs snatched the third seed in the Final Four after they overcame the Far Eastern University Tamaraws, 84-81, in overtime in their long-awaited rematch in the 75th UAAP men’s basketball tournament yesterday at the Mall of Asia Arena.
The Bulldogs ended the game with an 11-2 run led by MVP Bobby Ray Parks, who scored the team’s last five points to elevate them to the crucial win.
Parks finished the game with 27 points.
The Bulldogs will face the second-seeded University of Sto. Tomas Growling Tigers in the Final Four. UST owns a twice-to-beat advantage.
FEU will face off against the La Salle Green Archers for the last ticket to the Final Four and the right to tackle the reigning champions Ateneo Blue Eagles in the semifinals./Correspondent Jonas Panerio
