Phil-Asia int’l b’building final judging set today

TOP LOCAL and foreign bodybuilders converge at the Mariners Court today for the final judging of the Phil-Asia International Bodybuilding Championships.

Organizer and owner of the Cebu Fitness Work-out Center Dennis Delgado said that competition will be stiff since most of the participants have prepared well for this prestigious event.

During yesterday’s pre-judging, Delgado said he was impressed with what he saw, especially the local bodybuilders, who are expected to face tough foreign contenders.

Bodybuilders from United Kingdom, New Zealand, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Malaysia will be among the competitors in the annual contest.

At stake here is a ticket to the world championships this November in Germany and the Amateur Olympia 2012 in Kuwait. This will be aside from the P300,000 prepared for winners in each division.

The competition serves as the highlight of Cebu Workout Fitness Center’s 25th anniversary. It is made possible by the Unified Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation of the Philippines (UBFFP) and sanctioned by the International Bodybuilding Association. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
