What has been heralded as the biggest “entertainment city” in Asia is still looking for employees.
Solaire Manila-Bloomberry Resorts Corp., in coordination with the Parañaque city government, is on the second day of its two-day job fair Saturday at SM City-Sucat in Barangay Dionisio.
Solaire Manila is still looking to fill vacant positions for 4,000 posts in the sprawling hotel, resort and gaming complex they will start putting up in the city’s Pagcor Entertainment City starting on the first quarter of 2013.
The complex consists of a 27,700-square-meter gaming area with 1,200 slot machines and 300 gaming tables, as well as 500 hotel rooms, restaurants, a 1,000-seat grand ballroom, a 3,000-slot parking area, a fitness center and a spa.
Jobseekers, who should be at least 21 years old, must bring their resumés, ID photos, clearances, school records and other employment documents to the job fair, which is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Building B events center of SM City Sucat.
Solaire is looking for persons who can man the hotel and gaming center, the food and beverage department, facilities and engineering department, information technology department, finance department, marketing and advertising department, corporate development and planning, legal and regulatory affairs, and warehouse and purchasing departments.
“This is great news for our constituents who missed the first job fair as it gives them a new chance to apply at this world-class hotel, resort and gaming complex. A job in the complex will definitely pave the way for a better life. We are grateful to Solaire Manila for supporting our livelihood program,” said Parañaque Mayor Florencio Bernabe in a statement.
“This world-class entertainment city is likely to be the biggest in Asia and will definitely attract more tourists to the country,” he added.
