MANILA, Philippines—Former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo wasn’t rankled at all by Senator Sergio Osmena III’s call to have her investigated for supposedly anomalous bridge projects during her presidency.

Her spokesperson Elena Bautista-Horn told reporters on Tuesday that the Pampanga lawmaker’s camp “won’t even bother to speculate on the motive and timing of the latest accusations of Senator Serge Osmeña.”

“Tandaan po natin na dumaan sa masusing proseso ng lahat ng kontratang ito kaya di lamang ang dating pangulo ang pinaratangan ni Senator Osmeña kung ‘di ang mga nakaraan at kasalukuyang pangulo (Let’s remember that this has undergone due process that’s why it’s not only the former president that Senator Osmeña has accused but the past and present presidents),” she said, pointing out that the bridge program being questioned by the senator “spans four administrations.”

Osmeña on Monday called for a Senate inquiry into the P111-billion President’s Bridge Program, accusing Arroyo of “serial plunder.”
