BO-PK, Team Rama finalizing lineups

THE two political parties in Cebu City are finalizing their lineup for the 2013 elections.

Team Rama has invited lawyer Aristotle Batuhan to run for the  south district congressional post vacated by their initial bet Antonio Cuenco.

“It’s something that I am seriously considering right now if there is a need for me to get into a political alliance,” Batuhan told Cebu Daily News.

Cuenco announced his retirement from politics last month over health concerns.

Batuhan said that when he first decided to run last year, he was confident of winning  a  three-cornered fight with  Cuenco and Councilor Bebot Abellanosa.

“But the political dynamics has   changed. It’s now going to be a one-on-one contest.

“The next thing I knew, I was already receiving feelers from Team Rama asking me if I am interested,” he said.

Meanwhile, Nestor Archival,a former councilor,  is joining Bando Osmena Pundok Kauswagan’s (BO-PK) north district slate for councilor.

He will replace businessman Franklyn Ong who chose to heed his family’s request not to run.

Ong is president of the  Liga ng mga Barangay Kagawad ng Pilipinas   Cebu Chapter.
