Reigning and defending WBO International flyweight champion Milan ‘El Metodico’ Milendo said he has made adjustments, and feels that he has improved himself technically as a fighter, and that will show when he faces former interim WBA flyweight king Jean Piero Perez of Venezuela in the main event of “Pinoy Pride XVI” at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel this Saturday.

In an interview yesterday with Cebu’s top broadcaster Leo Lastimosa over DYAB, Milendo emphasized that his training at the ALA Gym has and his conditioning will definitely be a factor, and that he is confident stamina will not be a problem indicating that “proper breathing techniques will help me throughout the fight.”

Milendo, however, intimated that Perez is a former world champion, and he expects a very tough fight. “He already arrived in Cebu. We don’t know where he is running and training here, maybe he is keeping that a secret. He has brought along his own physician.”
