Goldberry, Landmasters beat opponents

Goldberry and the Cebu Landmasters crept closer towards setting a finals showdown as they defeated their respective rivals at the start of the semifinals in the Sacred Heart Ateneo Alumni Athletic Association (SHAABAA) last Sunday at the SHS-Ateneo de Cebu campus in Canduman, Mandaue City.

Goldberry downed Insular Square, 63-50, to take a 1-0 series lead in the best-of-three affair. In the other pairing, the Cebu Landmasters upended the reigning champions Dynamic Power, 64-54, in overtime.

Goldberry leaned on the 22-point outing of many-time MVP Dave Lim.
