There were 72 car theft incidents in the Southern Police District in September 2011, according to data from the National Capital Region Police Office, the highest among the police districts in Metro Manila. During the same period, there were 57 reported cases of car theft in the Quezon City Police District, 44 in the Manila Police District, 40 in the Eastern Police District, and 20 in the Northern Police District.
