Man found dead in Caloocan

A 50-year-old  man was found dead and lying in a pool of his blood in his house in Caloocan City on Sunday.

The police identified the victim as Benjamin Liwanag, a jobless man living on Gen. Malvar Street,  Bagong Barrio.

His body was found by his sister who  reported it to the police. Witnesses, including Liwanag’s mother, Consuelo, said she heard her son having a heated argument with another unidentified man followed by the sound of a gun being fired. However, she could not say what the two were quarreling about.

Investigators later on recovered a spent bullet from a cal. .45 firearm and suspected illegal drug paraphernalia.  Nathaniel R. Melican.
