CSC holds seminar for school personnel
THE Philippine Civil Service Commission in Central Visayas (PCSC-7) held a two-day seminar on strategic performance management system (SPMS) and gender sensitivity for faculty and staff of the Negros Oriental State University (Norsu).
The activity was in celebration of PCSC’s 112th anniversary last Sept. 10-14. It was attended by 40 personnel from Norsu, said Norsu information officer Dr. Joy Perez.
PCSC-7 Director Judith Chicano, in her discussion, said the SPMS is a “shared understanding of what will be achieved, what are our goals, how are these achieved and above all, how well people are managed.”
The system emphasized organizational effectiveness in government institutions with focus on performance and management.
She further said that under this system, teamwork and collaboration should be encouraged, as well as information system and communication plans in government entities.
During the gender sensitivity on the second day, gender and development issues were discussed.
