Tillor, Tabal cop titles in Philsan Run

ULTRARUNNER Noel Tillor and Southwestern University’s ace runner Mary Joy Tabal won yesterday’s 25-kilometer category of the Philsan Run held at The Terraces of the Ayala Center Cebu.

Tillor clocked one hour, 28 minutes and 54 seconds to rule the men’s side while Tabal breasted the finish line in 1:43.03 for the women’s crown.

Meanwhile, Mary Jane Beboso (1:13.25) and University of Cebu’s Riez Enriquez (55:21) won the women’s and men’s 15k titles, respectively.

Siblings Lovely Fe and Cherry continued their winning ways as they finished 1-2 in the 5k race. The elder Lovely Fe topped the race with a time of 23:07 while the younger Cherry followed at second with a time of 23:08.

University of Southern Philippines-Foundation’s Joel Delposo grabbed the top spot in the men’s 5k race with a time of 18:16.

John Cliff Debolusan and Jhean Andrin, the eldest among the Andrin running siblings, placed first in the 3k race.  Debolusan clocked 08:49 while Andrin finished in 10:54.

The Philippine Society of Animal Nutritionists (Philsan) Visayas-Mindanao Chapter in cooperation with the  Central Visayas Pork Producers Cooperative (Cevvipco) organized the running event aimed at promoting the local meat industry.  /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
