MANILA, Philippines – Senator Francis Escudero disclosed Thursday the existence of a 50-minute video produced by supporters of the late Fernando Poe Jr. that would show the links between the orders given by the female voice on what is now known as the “Hello Garci” tapes with “what happened on the ground.”

He said the video, prepared by Marichu “Ichu” Maceda, stalwart of the FPJ Movement, “three to four years ago,” is being considered for submission to a proposed fact-finding committee investigating fraud in the 2004 elections.

Escudero, this week’s guest at the Kapihan sa Senado forum, said that while he planned to volunteer as the Senate representative on the proposed committee, he was also bracing himself for the possibility of being called as a witness.

As Poe’s spokesman, Escudero said he was privy to the details of the protest filed by election lawyers against former president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
