Jarantilla clinches crown in BTA Classic Nat’l Masters Open

ILONGGO Boy Jarantilla won this year’s Bowlingplex Tenpin Association (BTA) Classic National Open Masters title after defeating Tenpin Bowling Associaiton of Makati-PRIMA’s (TBAM-PRIMA) Odjie Guerrero in the final round last Sept. 9 at the Gaisano Bowlingplex.

Jarantilla, the lone Ilonggo entry, put up a superb performance despite placing ninth in the round of 48-bowlers as he dominated the finals with scores of 194 and 203 pinfalls. Guerrero scored 192 and 194.

Jarantilla first disposed veteran bowler from Cebu Tenpin Bowling Association’s (CETBA) Vivian Padawan with, 381-377, before beating Samantha Lagcao, 455-381, in the semis.

Lagcao eventually placed third while Celi Adolfo grabbed fourth place.
