BATAAN—Two pupils of an international school in Cebu drowned  during a school outing in Morong, Bataan, on Wednesday, police said.

Supt. Dennis Orbista, Bataan police information officer, said Jaebak Jung, 14, a Korean, and Kyle Weckman, 13, a Filipino-American, were two of 47 students and five teachers of the Cebu International School doing community service in Bataan since Sept. 11. The accident happened while the group was in an outing with pupils of Kanawan Elementary School at the Visai Waterfalls in Barangay Binaritan in Morong. Orbista said the students’ companions noticed that the two were missing at 2:20 p.m. Wednesday.

Orbista said Jung was recovered several minutes after he went missing. He died while being taken to a health center in Morong. Weckman’s body was recovered by rescue teams on Thursday morning. Greg Refraccion, Inquirer Central Luzon
