New police chief for Mandaue?
Although he’s satisfied with the performance of the city police chief, Mandaue City Mayor Jonas Cortes may decide to choose a new one.
Camp Crame sent him a list of names of potential replacements for Senior Supt. Noel Gillamac, who’s ending a two-year tour of duty.
The list of nominees includes Senior Supt. Mariano Natuel; Senior Supt. Erson Digal, Senior Supt. Eddie Benigay, Senior Supt. Mariano Batiancela, and Senior Supt. Petronilli Balderin, said the mayor.
Cortes said he has yet to decide whether to extend the stay of Gillamac, who was assigned OIC of the Mandaue City Police Office in January 2010 before he was named permanent police director a year later.
“I am satisfied with the performance of Col. Gillamac because we can really see what he had done for the Mandaue police,” said Cortes.
Gillamac said he would respect whatever decision the mayor makes.
