THE Gawad Kalinga San Fernando Rey pre-school in barangay Yati, Liloan, northern Cebu is the latest recipient of tables and chairs from the Visayan Electric Co. (Veco).
Veco Community Relations manager Eric Ching turned over the tables and chairs for the 92 Sibol pupils earlier this month.
Sibol is Gawad Kalinga’s term for pre-school.
Veco recycled its wooden crates containing electrical items into chairs and tables and donated the finished items to the school.
During the turnover, Ching emphasized the company’s concern for the children whom he called the hope of the future. Yati barangay captain Leo Salundauguit thanked Veco for heeding the request of Sibol school for useful items for the children.
