Ejercito warns Poe-Llamanzares to ‘watch her back’ as she joins Liberal Party
MANILA, Philippines—Although San Juan City Representative Joseph Victor “JV” Ejercito understands Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) chair Grace Poe-Llamanzares’ shift from the United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) to the ruling Liberal Party, he warned her to “watch her back.”
President Benigno Aquino III in his recent trip to Russia named Llamanzares among those who will be joining the ruling party’s senatorial slate in 2013. Daughter of the late actor and once presidential candidate Fernando Poe Jr., Llamanzares was earlier being considered as a guest candidate by UNA.
The lawmaker told reporters that he wished Llamanzares “all the best” but warned the MTRCB chief to be wary of the people around her. “She’s in the company of people who said “FPJ has nothing in his head” and hammered the last nail in (the) 2004 election bid of with the word “noted” that eventually sealed Arroyo’s fraudulent victory.”
“She will always be loved by our family and the people of San Juan, no matter what happens,” said Ejercito.
