One of the country’s most prestigious body-building event, the Phil-Asia International Bodybuilding Championships, will be held in Cebu again this Sept. 21 and 22 at the Mariners Court in Pier One.

Noted bodybuilders such as Japan’s Katsuaki Suzuki, Malaysian Susan Sukma and her twin sister Imee Sukma, and Indonesian Shania Sidoarjo are expected to compete in the tournament that offers a whopping P300,000 for the winners.

“I am very excited about this year’s competition because we are offering big cash prizes and the number of participants doubled compared to last year so we are expecting tight competition in all categories,” said Cebu Workout Fitness Center owner Dennis Delgado, who is also the brainchild of the event.

The competition will be the highlight of Cebu Workout Fitness Center’s 25th anniversary. This is also made possible by the Unified Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation of the Philippines (UBFFP).

The competition will also serve as the qualifiers for the world championships this November in Germany and the Amateur Olympia 2012 in Kuwait. It is sanctioned by the International Bodybuilding Association.
