More rains for Cebu
MORE rains, especially at night, lie ahead for Cebu this week due to a low pressure area east of Mindanao, the Mactan office of the state weather bureau Pagasa said.
The LPA located 987 km east of Mindanao may cause thunder storms in Central Visayas with moderate to heavy rains in the next few days, saidActing Pagasa Mactan chief Alfredo Quiblat.
Coastal waters are moderate to strong due to this and an inter-tropical convergence zone (ITCZ), Quiblat said.
The rest of Central Visayas will have cloudy to sunny skies and light to moderate rains in the afternoon until Friday this week, said Pagasa Mactan weather analyst Oscar Tabada.
“Due to continuous rains in the province, there would be strong winds which may cause land spouts and water spouts,” Tabada said.
A land spout was spotted over barangay Kalunasan, Cebu City following Friday’s downpour. Friday.
