2 MEN NABBED FOR DRUGS

ANTI-NARCOTICS agents arrested two persons who were allegedly caught carrying illegal drugs in barangay barangay Kalawisan, Lapulapu City, on Tuesday afternoon.

Juditho Bagiuo Suan and Vitiliano Berdon Dungog Jr. each yielded three packs of suspected shabu, according to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Central Visayas (PDEA-7).

PDEA-7 agents went to Kalawisan for a buy-bust operation but the subject of the operation was able to escape.

PDEA-7 said Suan and Dungog were in the area where the supposed operation was made.

Suspecting that they were cohorts of the subject, PDEA-7 agents frisked the two men and allegedly found the suspected drugs in their possession./CORRESPONDENT CHITO O. ARAGON

GUARD ‘SHOOTS’ BOY

A 14-YEAR-OLD boy was wounded after the gun of a security guard accidentally went off outside a mall in barangay Pusok, Lapu-Lapu City, on Tuesday night.

The boy sustained splinter wounds in the chest.

Police are withholding the name of the security guard pending confirmation that he was involved in the incident.

The security guard has yet to surface after the incident, said police.

Police said the boy was playing in a boxing ring outside the Gaisano-Mactan mall at 8 p.m.

As he drove the boy out of the ring, the guard drew his service pistol, which went off.

Police said the security guard hurriedly went home after the incident even if he was still on duty.
