Sibulan to benefit from Pantawid Pamilya program

SIBULAN town in Negros Oriental is among the local government units in Central Visayas recently covered by the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).

This was revealed by Department of Social Welfare and Development in Central Visayas (DSWD-7) Director Evelyn Macapobre to Sibulan Mayor Marcela Grampon-Bartoces.

Macapobre said that 1,241 households in Sibulan were identified to benefit from the 4Ps program.

Macapobre said these households met the requirements of eligibility such as residents of the poorest municipality, having children 0 to 14 years old, pregnant family member at the time of assessment and having income below the poverty level.

The 4Ps is the government’s human development program implemented by the DSWD through the conditional cash transfer scheme for the health and education of poor households across the country.

Registration and validation of beneficiaries in Sibulan will be scheduled with the local government unit. “This is the final step for their inclusion in the program,” said Macapobre.

The final list of the program’s beneficiaries will be posted after the orientation, which was held last week.
