Blessel cagers clip Eagles in Tungkil hoop

THE Blessel Arts and General Services skippered by Edgar Camota drubbed host team Eagles, 85-67, Tuesday night at the start of the barangay Tungkil basketball tournament-2011 at the open court in Tungkil, Minglanilla, Cebu.

The event is one of the highlights of Tungkil’s upcoming feast in honor of Senior San Roque

Blessel had a sluggish start and trailed, 12-13 in the opening period, but rallied hard in the second with , 28-18 run behind the hot tandem of Keith Dinoy and former USJ-R Jaguar Ruben Abarquez to rule the half, 40-31. Blessel widened its lead to 63-52 entering the final 10 minutes where it sealed the 18-point demolition.

Danny Estrera and Glen Birao led Blessel with 18 and 16 points, respectively while Joker Gonzales paced the losing Eagles with a night-high 24 markers.
