One dead in jewelry shop robbery in Surigao City–report

MANILA,, Philippines – One person was killed when unidentified men robbed a jewelry shop in Surigao City, Surigao del Norte Saturday, according to a television report.

The fatality was not identified, the report said.

The report quoted the owner of the shop as saying that he had seen the suspects.

Police are investigating the incident, it said.
