Espina assumes NCRPO chief post
MANILA, Philippines—Chief Superintendent Leonardo Espina formally assumed his post as the new director of the National Capital Region Police Office Friday.
The new Metro Police chief vacated his post as director of the Highway Patrol Group.
The Change of Command wherein outgoing NCRPO Police Director Alan Puirisma willl turn over the reigns to Espina will be at the NCRPO Grandstand, Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan,Taguig City around 3 p.m.
Espina said he would immediately hold a command conference with NCRPO top officials to discuss, among others, the crime rate in Metro Manila.
The new Metro chief also said he would consult the public about how crimes could be prevented, saying everybody plays a big role in their communities.
