IN THE SAME ISSUE, a story on Page A19—“Ignore Zaldy, Mangudadatu urges P-Noy”—misstated the number of sisters of Maguindanao Gov. Esmael Mangudadatu, who were killed in the November 2009 massacre. Mangudadatu lost two sisters—not just one—in the massacre.

THE SAME STORY misstated the name of President Aquino’s father. The father of the incumbent President is the late Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr.—not Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino III.

IN THE JULY 17 ISSUE, a story on Page A5—“‘Hanna’ leaves, heads for Japan”—misstated that Typhoon “Ma-on” could bring “heavy rains” to the Philippines. According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration, Typhoon Ma-on was expected to bring thunderstorms and rainshowers—not heavy rains—to the Philippines.

IN THE JULY 18 ISSUE, a story on Page A22—“Reopening of 2004, 2007 poll probe urged”—erroneously referred to the 2007 opposition senatorial slate as Team Unity. The 2007 opposition senatorial slate was known as the “Genuine Opposition”—not Team Unity. Team Unity was the name of the Arroyo administration’s senatorial slate during the 2007 midterm elections.
