LPA over Visayas to bring rain in parts of PH–Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines — A potential cyclone was spotted off near Visayas and is seen to bring rains in the regions of Visayas and Mindanao, the state weather bureau said Friday.

The low pressure area was seen 920 kilometers east of Visayas, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration.

Eastern Visayas and Mindanao will have mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country, including Metro Manila, will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening.

Light to moderate winds blowing from the northeast to east will prevail over Northern Luzon and coming from the northeast to northwest over the rest of the country. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate, Pagasa said.
