A government worker lost at least P11,000 cash to an unidentified person who could also be the same man who stole the clutch bag of Cebu City Councilor Joey Daluz in a restaurant.

Ma. Corseca Camomot Flores, employee of Department of Agrarian Reform in Central Visayas (DAR-7), lost her bag containing cash and personal belongings while eating at the Chowking branch in Osmeña Boulevard early morning Wednesday.

Flores left her table to get sauce and returned to find her bag missing.

Based on the description given by Flores, the man had similar features with the customer who sat near the table of Daluz inside the AA Restaurant in barangay San Roque last Tuesday noon, said Insp. Rolando Pinili, chief of the theft and robbery section of the Cebu City police.

In the AA Restaurant, the thief was seen in security camera footage also wearing a white cap and yellow T-shirt.

Daluz lost his clutch bag which contained an iPad and important documents.

“It seems he’s not from Cebu because he was not able to change his clothes,” said Pinili about the theif.

In a separate incident, two persons were arrested for allegedly stealing the bag of a customer in a fastfood chain in SM City-Cebu.

Inside her bag were cellular phones and personal belongings.
