Knights vs Pirates in NCAA

THE Letran Knights resume their chase for a spot in the Final Four today against the Lyceum Pirates in the 88th NCAA men’s basketball tournament at the Arena in San Juan City.

The Knights, who are at an even 6-6 (win-loss), currently are two games away from fourth place which is occupied by the Perpetual Help Altas and the Jose Rizal University Heavy Bombers, who tote identical 8-4 records.

Letran is favored in today’s encounter especially against a Lyceum squad that is languishing at the bottom of the standings with a miserable 2-10 mark. The Knights especially want to make a good impression after losing their last game to hated rivals, San Beda.

In the second game, the Mapua Cardinals aim to keep their floundering hopes for the next round alive when they battle the Arellano University Chiefs. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
